Permission: You will need the "Templates- Events" or "Libraries - Events" update permission to use this feature.
For events that can record video, users can now choose which camera(s) must be used to request videos automatically when the event is triggered. Video-capable events include two types of events that record video, the MiX Vision event types (including the AI events and the diagnostic events produced by the MiX Vision peripherals) and the events produced by the onboard computer with the "Record video" option when configured.
Configure events on MiX Vision peripherals
You can edit these settings in the Event library or on the specific Event templates, but not on asset-level. If you have different configuration groups with different settings for events you will make these changes on the Event template:
- Click Manage.
- Under Config admin, click Templates (or Libraries).
- Make sure the Event templates / Event library tab is selected on the right.
- Search for the template (or event in the library) you want to change and click Edit next to the template/event name.
- In the Event template, click on the name of the event you want to change, e.g. Driver fatigue - eye closing.
- Under Event video configuration choose the cameras for which videos must be requested when this event is triggered. Note that all the available camera names for an organization will be listed and that video will only be requested for the selected cameras that are available on the unit in the asset where the event is triggered.
- Click Save.
Please note
As mentioned above, the camera names that are displayed per event contain all the available camera names as defined on the peripheral. For the MiX Vision AI (C6D AI and AD Plus peripherals) the supported predefined names Road, Driver, and In cab cameras are shown. For the Streamax camera peripheral the custom camera names will also be displayed.
