Please note that with immediate effect the MiX CAN Sense hardware, used to make a non-intrusive connection to a vehicle’s CAN bus, will be replaced by a similar device manufactured by CANGO.
The CANGO device, known as the CANGOclick, will be a direct plug-in replacement for CAN Sense. It will plug directly into the CAN1 connector already populated on the main harness of the MiX 4000.
The CANGOclick operates in the same way as the CAN Sense, whereby the twisted pair CAN bus wires in the vehicle need to be untwisted along a small portion of their run and the wires passed through the pickup clamp of the device. The CANGOclick (as shown in the picture on the right below) is physically smaller than CAN Sense (shown on the left below) and it is therefore expected that it should be easier to install when the space in the vehicle is limited, as is the case with most light vehicles.
Please note that the one major difference between these two products is that the CANGOclick is polarity sensitive. This means installers will have to refer to the CAN script document supplied for the vehicle and confirm which wire is CAN_H and which is CAN_L. These vehicle CAN wires need to be passed through the clamp to match the polarity printed on the CANGOclick PC board.
