The 4.12.12 firmware that was previously released as an urgent hotfix included only the changes necessary to speed up the testing process and reduce potential risk. The different fixes that had been pending will now be included in this follow-up 4.12.16 release.
Please check with your corresponding RSO first before upgrading to a new version of firmware.
These changes include:
- Various comms improvements around:
- BTS and socket management.
- Detection and recovery from an inactive internet connection.
- Improvements around applying new config reducing the potential for missing trips.
- Fixes to ensure improved Iridium uptime and availability.
- Active data will now be assigned to a DTCO driver based on the first 14 characters of the DTCO ID. This will allow for the same driver profile to be used even when issued with a renewal or replacement card.
- Patched a Magix vulnerability that was triggered when receiving corrupt position data from a Tabs Beacon.
