Firmware 4.12.12 will be released as a hotfix as a solution to the reported vulnerability with the previously released firmware versions 4.12.6 and 4.12.9.
This vulnerability has the potential to stop the start-up sequences on units running 4.12.6 or 4.12.9 firmware; typically when they have been out of coverage for some time, resulting in a lot of buffered data.
All units running 4.12.6 and 4.12.9 MUST be upgraded immediately.
Failure to do so runs the risk of losing the ear of the unit, requiring an asset visit and MiX 4000 replacement.
For this reason, CSO will upgrade all units running 4.12.6 and 4.12.9. Please ensure all customers and partners are informed of the update as required.
