- Make the MiX Asset tracker (Digital Matter) mobile device available in the mobile device library.
- This will automatically create a new configuration group for all MiX Asset Tracker devices (including Remora, Oyster and Yabby) with the relevant default Digital Matter Mobile Device template and default event template for Digital Matter.
- There is no need to set the tracking options on the Mobile device in the mobile device template. This is now only configurable on the OEM server.
- Commission the asset to make use of the MiX Asset tracker device by making sure it is in the correct configuration group and by entering the IMEI number on the mobile device settings tab when clicking Monitor -> Assets.

There is no need to compile and upload the configuration from MiX Fleet Manager as the commissioning and configuration are sent from the OEM server.
Please remember that events are device-specific. If an event is not supported on the device type that is installed in the asset it cannot be triggered, e.g. the Remora V4 supports input, but the Oyster does not therefore the input event will not be triggered for an asset commissioned with an Oyster device.
Events, also known as System Parameters, will need to be configured on the OEM server. The events available on the event template simply allow our Data Processor to map the data field sent from the Digital Matter device to an event in MiX Fleet Manager. The following events are supported on the default event template:
Event | ID |
Alarm: Tamper Detect | 160 |
Low Battery | 357 |
Impact Detect Severe | 29623 |
Input 1 High | 29650 |
Input 1 Low | 29651 |
Diagnostic: Communication Heartbeat | 32694 |
