- Default events are loaded onto the mobile device by default. These events are available to all organizations to make use of and do NOT need to be included in the asset's configuration in order for them to trigger. These events are included by default based on the mobile device type and cannot be removed from the configuration. The event ID’s are the same across organizations. A user with the edit event permissions is able to edit the event thresholds and settings of these events. There are no special permissions for sensitive settings.
- System events are available in the Event library by default and have to be added to an
Event Template if required. These events are available to all organizations to make use of and need to be included in the asset's configuration in order for them to trigger. The event IDs are the same across organizations. Users with the edit event permissions are able to edit the event thresholds and settings of these events. If users have the Advanced - Manage system events permission then they are able to add and remove conditions from these events.
Default and System events are configured by MiX technical support representatives and
certain permissions are required to add, edit, or remove event conditions from these events.
- Custom events are user-defined events. These events are created for a specific organization. They need to be included in the assets' configuration in order to trigger. A user with edit event permissions can edit these events. No special sensitive settings permissions apply.
- Diagnostic events are used for diagnostic information purposes, e.g. no alarm when 24V battery voltage is low. These events are used to assist with vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting issues and are available to all organizations to make use of. They need to be included in the asset's configuration in order for them to trigger. The event IDs are the same across organizations. A user with the edit event permissions is able to edit the event thresholds and settings of these events. If they have the Advanced - Manage diagnostic events permission then they are able to add and remove conditions from these events.
- Server-side events are not loaded to the mobile device. These events are triggerd server-side based on the asset's AVLs (active vehicle location). The events exist in the library but are hidden from the user.
- Hidden events are required to make the unit function but are hidden from the library and everywhere in the MiX Fleet Manager UI.
