You can create custom events to monitor Iridium comms issues.
- Click Manage.
- Under Config Admin, click Libraries.
- Make sure the event library tab is selected on the left.
- Click on the Add event button, .
- Enter an event description, e.g. Iridium Signal Strenght > 0 for 2 minutes
- Enter the conditions, e.g. event occurs when Iridium Signal Strenght > '0'.
- Enable the Record event checkbox and specify the recording delay, e.g. record after 2 minutes.
- Select the recording type, e.g. notification.
- Check the relevant actions, e.g. record video.
- Choose the actions, e.g. sound a buzzer when condition is true.
- Enable the checkbox to send active messages and specify the settings.
- Enable active tracking if necessary.
- Click Save.
Parameters:
- Iridium Signal Strength (0x250C)
- Iridium Serial Comms Status (0x250B)
This is only supported on the MiX 4000 and MiX 6000 devices.
