You can create events that monitor the state of the relay drives.
When the relay is enabled or disabled, as specified in the event conditions, the event triggers.
This is how to configure the conditions in the event template for the specific event.
The event parameter names are:
- Relay drive 1 enabled
- Relay drive 2 enabled
From MiX Fleet Manager version 22.9 you need to ensure that when you create an event that monitors the relay state, the condition for true has to be specified as true, and the condition for false needs to be specified as false for the event to trigger correctly. As opposed to previous versions of MiX Fleet Manager where the relay event parameters were incorrectly inverted on the MiX 4000 and MiX 6000 devices.
Any events that were created to cater for this inversion will need to be updated to have the correct conditions.
In order to prevent mismatches, it is recommended that the event condition changes are included in the same config load as the inversion fix.
Recommended steps to create the correct values for parameters if they have been inverted:
- Update the relay monitoring events by swapping true and false or renaming the events (off to on and on to off) depending on which is relevant.
- Wait for the deployment of 22.9 before compiling.
- Once 22.9 is deployed, compile and upload configuration.
Please note that this does not apply to organisations on the Sydney server as the relay change has already been applied there.
Please note that these events parameters should not be confused with the events that switch the relay as they are 2 separate things. The relay switch can be set when you check the box to enable relay drive 1 or 2 when the condition has been true for a specified delay. Scroll down for these settings:
