You have the following options for the overlay of data on the maps in Live tracking or Historical tracking.
- Custom Layer Service - 3rd Party GIS data set (eg POI or road networks) can be converted to a map layer as a service and made available for viewing on the maps in the MiX Fleet Manager user interface. Note, this is for viewing only - the data is not available for use in events. Where a customer has a significant number of geofences and this is affecting the performance of Live or Historical Tracking. The geofence data from MiX Fleet Manager can be modified to create a customer layer for ease of viewing. The geofences will still be available for use in events. Quarterly updates of customer layer data can be requested. To implement this log a service request that will be handled by the mapping team at CSO.
- Geofence/location data. Geofences can be drawn or imported by users for display in the Live tracking screens. These locations can be used in reporting, as well as onboard and server-side location-based events.
- Journey data can be imported via MiX Integrate into the Journey Management solution.
