When making a new OEM mobile device available in the mobile device library, a default configuration group, mobile device, and event template, including the events supported by the specific OEM, will automatically be created.
Event thresholds can be modified for all OEM events that support conditions. See below for the standard MiX Fleet Manager thresholds.
Note that the Navistar and Hino harsh acceleration and harsh braking events have an internal threshold that is applied before the events are sent to MiX Fleet Manager where our thresholds are applied.
Navistar
- Harsh acceleration - 7.2 km/h-s or 4.47 mph/s
- Harsh braking - 14.4 km/h-s or 8.95mph/s
Hino
- Harsh acceleration - 13.6 km/h-s or 8.5 mph/s
- Harsh braking - 10.5 km/h-s or 6.5 mph/s
Calculations in MiX Fleet Manager are always performed using the Metric system and then converted to other units of measure.
The source for these events is the vehicle speed sensor.
Ford
Please note that harsh events are detected with an accelerometer with a 30-second emit rate.
Remember that you do not need to compile and upload config as these are all server-side.
