A configuration group is comprised of one mobile device template and one event template - assets are then associated with a configuration group that defines the full configuration for the mobile device following commissioning and configuration upload.
After devices have been added to the libraries, global settings have been configured and the templates have been created, you can create or edit configuration groups to ensure that you can apply all these properties to a group of assets that will belong to this configuration group.
You have the ability to:
Create new configuration groups.
Allocate assets to existing configuration groups.
View the mobile device template and event template assigned to a configuration group.
- Click Manage.
- Under Config Admin, click Configuration groups.
The landing page for configuration groups should now be available. From within the landing page, you can create, view, edit, move, compile, upload and download config files.
The section on the left shows all the existing configuration groups. A count next to the heading at the top will indicate how many configuration groups are available in the organization.
The count next to each group shows how many assets are linked to the configuration group.
