Permission: You will need the permission "Organization settings - Video settings" to access this feature.
If an excessive number of events are triggered for an asset, the video requests for that event are temporarily stopped for 24 hours, after which they will resume as normal. This helps limit high data usage. The threshold determines how many events must occur within 1 hour before the cap is enabled. It is applied per asset and per event. Set this up as follows:
- Click Manage.
- Under Operations, click Organization settings.
- Click the Video settings tab.
- Scroll down to Event video cap and enter the threshold, i.e. (how many events must occur within 1 hour before the cap is enabled, applied per asset and per event).
- Click Save.
When the video requests for an asset are capped because the event threshold was exceeded, a diagnostic event called "MiX Vision: Event video requests capped" will be triggered.
You can create event notifications that will alert you when such an event is raised. You can also view these events in the Event reports.
