Journeys that have been stagnant in either draft, in-progress or approved status for 45 days or more will automatically be "cleaned up" daily and set to an abandoned status.
Please note: after the journey has been in an abandoned status for 45 days it will be deleted.
The system will provide a warning before the journey goes into an abandoned state by changing the journey reference number to bold amber when a journey's departure date reaches 5 days before the 45-day limit. This means that the controller / dispatcher has 5 days to take action before the journey is set to an abandoned status.
View a list of your abandoned journeys by clicking the filter on the left:
During the 5 day grace period, you can still make changes to the journey to ensure it is dispatched or, if the journey is still relevant, the departure date can be updated to ensure the journey is not set to abandoned.
What happens if my journey is already in an abandoned state?
Once a journey is set to abandoned, you will not be able to make any more changes on the journeys due to the fact that all server-side and processing rules have been suspended and these journeys cannot be submitted anymore. You can however view the journeys and any of the journey details.
Journeys will remain in an abandoned status for a further 45 days, after which they will be permanently removed.
Journeys in an abandoned status will be flagged 5 days prior to being removed as a warning, by displaying the journey reference number in bold red.
