Some journeys do not automatically complete because the asset is not following the submitted route plan.
We strongly recommend that you:
- Monitor journeys daily.
- Identify in-progress journeys that were not completed when expected.
- When a journey is identified as not completing as planned, apply a route update to correct the route plan.
- Once the journey is updated, submit and reprocess the journey to recalculate the plan change.
- If the journey was not completed automatically, manually complete the journey to free up the allocated asset, either by clicking on the journey in the monitoring screen or via MiX Integrate.
If the asset remains in progress because the end location is never entered by the asset as planned, the knock-on effect is that any other planned journeys for the asset will remain in an approved status due to other journeys being blocked by the in-progress journey and an overlap being identified by the continuously adjusted end time for the abandoned in-progress journey.
