When choosing large amounts of data for subscription reports, it could lead to failed subscriptions due to the size of the data selection. In these cases, it would be better to schedule a data export that can be sent to your inbox and accessed via a link.
The data export feature is available on the following reports:
- Daily Movement Report
- Detailed Event Report
- Detailed Trip Report
- Daily Trip report
- IFTA State Miles Report
How do I create a bulk export?
Run the required report. Click on the link in the list above if you need guidance on setting up the specific report.
- Make sure you are under the Subscription section, which is the last page when setting up the report and on the Run report tab.
- Check the Create subscription checkbox.
- Check the Is for bulk export checkbox as shown below.
- Choose how frequently you would like to receive the bulk export.
- Data exports are always in CSV format as it represents raw data.
- Give your export a mandatory description.
- Enter a name for the email subject field.
- Choose the email Recipients - click on Select recipients and choose the required recipients from the list. Remember that you can add new recipients by clicking the "click here to add" link. Note: You will need to add yourself as a recipient if you would like to receive the email reports as well.
- Click Run.
Instead of receiving the report, you will receive a download link via e-mail with a csv file attached. The link is valid for 48 hours.
Important to note: If you have a daily schedule on the bulk export it will overwrite the previous link if not downloaded.
