An ELD must not allow the ELD username associated with an ELD record to be edited and reassigned, except when there is a correction of errors for a driving record that was originally recorded under the “Unidentified Driver” profile and assumed by the driver.
The driver account associated with the driving time records may be edited only for the purpose of reassignment back to the unique Unidentified Driver Profile.
Admin users can view all assets that have unidentified driving time. You can then open a specific asset and assign those trips to drivers.
- Click Monitor.
- Under Hours of Service, click Unidentified hours.
- Select your organization / site.
- Choose if you want to select from a pre-defined date range or by selecting your date range by using the calendar icons.
The maximum date range for viewing unidentified hours is 14 days. If the selected date range has exceeded this limit, the end date will automatically be adjusted.
- Click on the downwards action arrow next to the asset containing the unidentified trips.
- Select Assign.
- You will now see all the unidentified trips recorded on the asset.
- Select a driver to assign the driving hours to from the dropdown list.
- Check the box next to the relevant unidentified trip (you can multi-select trips).
- Click Next.
- You will now see a preview with the new log, containing the edits. The new driving time will display in a solid red line and the line above with the stripes will show what will be removed, in the example below this means the off duty time will be removed and driving time will be added before the on duty not driving displayed in green. The new duty status will also be indicated by an asterisk * in the table below.
- Click Assign to assign the UID to the driver.
