We have found that the commissioning text message (SMS) that allows drivers to finalize and register the MyMiX Tracking app are not always delivered in certain countries.
In these cases, drivers can do the last part of the commissioning using the MyMiX app on their mobile device.
A user will only be able to commission themselves if the following pre-requites are met:
- The driver account has been created and shared with the mobile phone user.
- The application has been downloaded and the mobile phone user is able to log into MyMiX with the driver account details.
- The fleet manager has created a mobile asset for their device in MiX Fleet Manager.
- The fleet manager initiated the commissioning process by adding and saving the mobile number on the mobile device setting page.
- The asset status in MiX Fleet Manager is "Unverified".
(Access this screen by clicking: Monitor > Fleet admin > Assets > search for the specific asset > edit the asset > click on mobile device settings tab (only available once a relevant configuration group has been selected on the asset details tab) > Enter a mobile number > Save.)
Commissioning on the MyMiX mobile app:
- Log into the MyMiX app.
- Tap the Menu icon at the top.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Mobile tracking.
- Enter your mobile number to check if your device can be enabled for tracking.
- Tap Submit.
- After validation, accept the terms and conditions to continue.
- The app will finalize automatically setting up.
