RAG scoring
RAG scoring shows drivers with classifications of Red, Amber and Green as determined by the RAG score.
When setting the RAG scoring on a user level you can only monitor three events and the driver's score was based on occurrences of *Over Speeding, Harsh Acceleration and Harsh Braking averaged over time and distance. The custom option enables you to select any events. (*Over speeding can be a standard system event, a road speed event or a tiered-speed event. To read more about the different speed measures, click here.)
The lowest score is the best score.
RAG Scoring is based on occurrences per a specified number of kilometres or miles.
If you want to make use of the MyMiX module and driver app you must enable MyMiX in database admin and select the preferred scoring method. If RAG is selected, the system will automatically apply the MyMiX RAG settings to the custom RAG module as well and this will be linked to MyMiX going forward.
It is important to inform your MyMiX drivers of any changes you are planning to make as the change is immediate and will start displaying on the MyMiX mobile application as soon as you click save in MiX Fleet Manager.
- Click Manage
- Under Operations, click Organization settings.
- Click the Scoring tab on the left.
- Click on the RAG Scoring tab at the top.
- You can specify the total distance that must be driven that scores must be calculated by, under the Calculate score per section right at the top.
Using custom scoring, users can remove the default events, but must have at least one event and can add up to 25 events for RAG scoring.
- Choose which events you want to include by clicking Add events. All the diagnostic events will be filtered out when choosing events.
Please note: The RAG scoring configuration will be used across the organization.
- Select if the RAG score must be based on occurrence or duration by choosing from the dropdown list under the Score on heading. The default values for the three default events are as follows:
- Harsh acceleration - occurrence
- Harsh braking - occurrence
- Over speeding - duration
- Specify the values for the amber band - Once you save these numbers, your green band is automatically defined as any score lower than your amber minimum and your red band is any score greater than your amber maximum.
- Overall score thresholds - will indicate the amber bands for the overall scores.
How is RAG scoring calculated - the RAG scoring algorithm
- As described above you can choose if you want to penalize a driver on a selected event based on event occurrence and or the duration of the event, e.g. over-speeded for more than 90 seconds.
- Occurrence - the RAG logic will be applied based on occurrence of that specific event (Event occurrence ÷ Distance X 100).
- Duration - the RAG logic will be based on every 10-second duration of that specific event, for example (Over Speeding duration ÷ 10) ÷ Distance) X 100
You can generate the Flexible RAG Daily, Flexible RAG Summary and Flexible RAG Year to Date reports when making use of the RAG scoring solution. These can be found in the Scoring folder.
