The Data exclusion management tool (DEMT) is a module that is used internally to quarantine events and trips that are deemed inaccurate or private. The module also allows you to reassign trips to different drivers. Note that organizations that are enabled for Hours of Service will only see the events tab.
The new DEMT module will be available to all organizations that have been migrated to Lightning 3B data processing. Organizations that have not been migrated can still use the Data exclusion (legacy) feature on the same menu.
- Click Manage.
- Under Operations, click Data exclusion.
- Choose the relevant organization. You can only go down to organization level and you can only select one organization.
- Click the Add button, .
- Choose if you want to filter information by driver or asset by clicking the appropriate radio button.
- Select specific assets/drivers across the organization by clicking the select assets/drivers button and then search for all available in the organization. Or expand the organization tree by clicking the '+' next to the the organization name to select all the assets/drivers from a specific organization or site. You can select multiple organization groups and site.
- Select a specified date range by choosing from the dropdown list or enter a custom date range by selecting the custom date range radio button and clicking the calendar icons to select a from and to date. The maximum date range is 2 months per query and you cannot go back further than 6 months.
- Now select the query type:
- Selecting trips will return all the relevant trips as per the selection criteria in the result set to either quarantine or reassign. Remember only the events will be available if an organization is HOS-enabled.
- Events will allow you to select up to a maximum of 20 events. Click the Select events button. Search for an event by typing in the filter box and select the relevant events by checking the box next to the event name.
- Click Submit.
- The new query will now be listed at the top and have a status of "Retrieving data".
As soon as the status changes to "Ready for review" you can click on the status to quarantine events, quarantine trips or reassign trips.
