Canada has six hours of service rule sets that govern the available driving hours.
These rule set are different for north and south to allow the drivers in the north to make use of extra daylight time in summer:
The North rule sets consist of three cycles - cycle 1, cycle 2 and oil field.
The South rule sets consist of three cycles - cycle 1, cycle 3 and oil field.
- Click Manage.
- Under Operations, click Database administration.
- Click on the name of the organization for which you need to enable rule sets.
- Click on the HOS settings tab on the left.
- Scroll to the Regulated rule sets section.
- Enable the relevant rule sets by checking the box next to the rule set name.
- Click Save.
Please note that these rule sets are only available on the Rovi IV and that a driver making use of these rule sets will not be able to operate a Rovi II.
