Overview
- Click Measure.
- Under Insights, click Reports.
- Choose Trip reports under the report category.
This report provides the user with a view of daily utilization for either asset (distance) or drivers (distance and driving hours). Custom colors can be applied to the report based on distance traveled and driving hours exceeded per day for better visualization. This report is best viewed in Excel and it is the recommended format of use due to the layout and style of the report.
Users
- Transport/ Fleet Managers
- Supervisors who need to monitor the daily utilization of their assets.
Use case
I want to see the average distances my vehicles do per day to analyze where I could transition to electric vehicles. A vehicle that does less than 180 mi / 300 km per day would be a good candidate.
Additional Settings
Set distance color bands:
The colors are used to make utilization visible to users. When an asset or driver exceeded the selected distance and/or driving hours the cell will be displayed in amber or yellow. If the distance and/or driving hours were more than the set brackets, the cell will be highlighted in green.
Red will be calculated by default and will be all cells that contain no distance or anything under the set bracket as specified in the amber bracket below.
- Distance shown in amber defaults to 0.10 - 10 mi/km but can select down to 0.1 - 1 mi/km as the maximum value.
- Distance in yellow defaults to 10.1 - 100 mi/km but can select up to a maximum of 400 mi/km. The minimum will be determined by what was set for the amber distance.
Distance over 100 mi/km by default (or what is selected for the yellow default) will be shown in green.
- Daily driving hours exceeds - defaults to 8 (only applicable to drivers).
- Choose whether the weekend falls on Saturday and Sunday or Friday and Saturday
Weekends are indicated in grey to separate them from weekdays.
A pie chart indicates the days active vs. the days not active in a visual way the same as on the Asset Performance Summary report.
See the example below for a difference between amber and yellow highlighted cells:
Columns
- Site Name
- Asset Description / Driver Name
- Registration Number / Employee Number
- Utilization - as shown in the example above, displaying a pie chart comparison between the days with trips (green) and days without trips (red).
- Days of the week, the various days of the week, and the distance traveled per day.
- Utilization breakdown - A utilization breakdown summary comprises 3 columns with the distance for each category after the distance of the last day of the selection.
- Weekday Distance
- Weekend Distance
- Total Distance - this matches similar selection criteria on the Daily Trip report and Monthly Trip report.
- Days with trips and days without trips - an indication of how many days the asset/driver was active for the month. This is the number of days selected and relates to the pie chart shown under Utilization.
