To import fuel data or to capture and update fuel data in large quantities, you need to download the import template first. This will allow you to enter the fuel data in the required format.
1. Download the Import template
- Click on Monitor.
- Under the Fleet Admin heading, click on Assets.
- Click on the Download import template button:
- Select the radio button next to Download fuel import template.
- Click Download.
- Open the downloaded Excel spreadsheet. (Usually named Fuel_with_a_date_and_timestamp.xlxs)
- Enter the relevant fuel data that you want to import.
- Save the file.
Do not include the time zone abbreviation, e.g. UTC when entering the date and time as it will cause the upload to fail.
2. Upload the Import Template
- Click on Monitor.
- Under the Fleet Admin heading, click on Assets.
- Click on the Import options icon:
- Click Import fuel.
- Click on Choose file.
- Select the relevant Excel file that you saved when capturing the data above.
Please note: This file must be the edited .xlsx file that was downloaded from the Download import template feature. The maximum file size is 10 megabytes.
- Click Open.
The fuel data will now be imported automatically. You will get an email notification that the assets fuel import request succeeded.
If the fuel import was not successful, you will be notified via email with the reason why (see example below). Please rectify the issue and upload the file again.
