The MiX Authentication Service is a utility which is installed on a PC within an organisation. The Authentication Service allows for an organisation's company card to be used centrally to unlock each of the DTCOs installed in their vehicles for remote file download. When a company card is inserted into a card reader attached to the PC with the Authentication Service running, the card's credentials are sent to each DTCO automatically on the day that the DTCO is scheduled to download (according to the default schedule or a manual download task).
