The MiX 2310i is capable of doing basic Tacho. This feature is limited to Tacho on GPS speed and does not extend to any other parameters measured by the device. Due to the additional data cost that will be incurred when activating this feature; it is not accessible on the device until the organisation is correctly configured by a user with suitable permissions.
Enabling an organisation for Tacho
- Click Manage.
- Under Operations, Click Database administration. Note: you will have to be a MiX Fleet Manager user with RSO Technical Support permissions (or similar).
- Click the relevant organisation - make sure that you are on an organisation, otherwise expand down to organisation-level.
- Scroll down to the section that says Activate organisation for and check the box next to MiX2310i Tacho data.
Enabling a Config Group for Tacho
Once that organisation has been set up correctly to allow Tacho, the mobile device configuration needs to be modified and saved to the device before the device will start sending the Tacho data.
Edit the mobile device template to check the Tacho box as indicated below:
Save the changes and schedule a config upload to the device. The device will only start sending Tacho data once its configuration status is reflecting "Configuration accepted".
Retreating stored Tacho data
Once the organisation and device are correctly set up for Tacho data, the process of accessing the data is the same as it is for any other Tacho-enabled device in MiX Fleet manager. Tacho data is visible in the Tacho timeline as shown below:
