View active trails on the map for the last 48 hours including task information.
Note that Live tracking is only available for positions within the last 48 hours. To view previous positions, you must use Historical Tracking.
- Click Monitor.
- Under Tracking, click Live tracking.
- Click on the Workers tab, next to Assets.
The workers will be listed on the left under the Workers tab and displayed on the map on the right of the screen.
- A worker is depicted by a green worker icon. A task is depicted by a briefcase icon.
- Check the Show selected workers box at the top of the list of workers to only display certain workers on the map - you can choose these by selecting the boxes next to the individual names. Check the box next to the heading row to show all the workers.
- Click on the action arrow and the end of the relevant worker row for additional functions:
- Go to worker* - plots the worker on the map based on the last position received.
- View details - displays the worker's details, e.g. site, location, GPS coordinates, last position and time, battery percentage.
- Lock on worker* - the map will automatically move with the worker.
- Show trail on map* - shows the last trail on the map.
- Create task - opens the page to create a new task for the worker.
- Request current position - will send GPS request to mobile phone.
- Sync - synchronizes the device with outstanding changes made on the mobile phone or web.
- Full sync - synchronizes all data (task templates, step info, etc.), even if no changes were made. This will take longer.
- Send message - opens the send message window to create and send a job or message to the specific worker.
*Please note that the worker will not be plotted on the map if there has not been a worker position in the last 48 hours. Use Historical Tracking to view these workers and their details on a map.
You can click on the worker icon to view additional worker details like the worker name, worker location, last position, batter %, task description, task location, task status, task status date.

Additional information on some of the columns in the worker list
Remember you can choose to view additional columns by clicking the column chooser at the top right.
- Site - the site the worker belongs to.
- Last sync - is the date and time of the last sync between driver's mobile device and MiX Fleet Manager.
- GPS coordinates - coordinates of the last recorded position.
- Last position - the date and time the last position was recorded.
- Worker location – Location name of last recorded position (if the position occurs in a place where a location is not created it will display the reverse geo).
- Task description – description of last task (applicable to all statuses).
- Task location – the worker location and task location could be different. For example, if the worker has completed a task and is on the way back to the site, his location will not be the same as the task location.
- Task status – this is the current status of the task.
- Task status date – this is the date and time that the task status last changed. This is not the same as last position. Last position is the last position we received from the mobile device (application) and task status date is the last date and time that the task status changed.
