The procedure to use a Driver ID key (blue key) and Immobilizer on a FM3xxx communicator, MiX 4000 and MiX 6000 is slightly different due to wake-up mechanisms and the Operating system of the OBC.
Procedure for FM 3xxx Communicator
The FM 3xxx can only wake up from Ignition and not from the accelerometer. The user must turn on Ignition to wake up the unit. Insert the blue key into the Code Plug socket. When you hear the double beep that the Driver ID has been accepted, the user can proceed to start the vehicle.
Procedure for MiX 6000
The MiX 6000 can also wake up from movement, but it is recommended that you follow the same procedure as for the FM 3xxx. The must user turn on Ignition to wake up the unit. Insert the blue key into the Code Plug socket. Note that since the MiX 6000 is running a Linux OS, it takes about 30 seconds to boot up if it is in deep sleep. This means the user will wait for at least 30 seconds to hear the double beeps that the Driver ID has been accepted. The user can then proceed to start the vehicle.
Procedure for MiX 4000
The MiX 4000 can also wake up from movement, but it is recommended that you follow the same procedure as for the FM 3xxx. Note that the like the FM 3xxx, the MiX4000 should immediately respond when Ignition is turned ON. Insert the blue key into the Code Plug socket. When you hear the double beep that the Driver ID has been accepted, the user can proceed to start the vehicle.
