Problem:
Request for videos are timing out almost immediately.
Solution:
The process is as follows:
- A custom video clip is requested, and the unit is offline, the request will be queued.
- Only once the the MVR unit pings the server will the request for video be made to the MVR
- The MVR will acknowledge that request with the server
- The MVR will check if the video is available on the Continuous database and only if the video could not be found will the video request status be unavailable - otherwise the video is shipped to the server for despatch - provided that the MVR is connected to the network for long enough to allow the video to arrive at the server.
- In order for the video request to have the unavailable state the MVR had to have contact with the server.
- The server does not check if the request was within the 72 hour period - but is only dependant on the check the MVR does to determine if the video is available on the continuous database.
