When you replace the 64GB SD card with another size (e.g 128 GB), the firmware on the MVR1204 and MVR2214 does not have an automatic mechanism to adjust the database size that is stored on the SD card, which means that the full capacity of the new SD card will not be used.
The only way to change this, is to apply a “script” to the MVR Operating System that will increase the SD card database structure. Currently the only way of doing this is by contacting Cathexis support.
The process is to send a list of serial numbers that must be adjusted to support@cat.co.za
Cathexis will then schedule the change and when the unit is powered up for the first time the script will be applied and the database formatted.
Note that this should be done before the installation. If you adjust the SD database size after it has been operational for a while, you will lose all the DATA that was recorded on the SD card (72 hour continuous recording and all the high-res clips that has not been requested yet.
The data that is already uploaded to the video server and visible in Dynamix is NOT affected.
