This server-side event will trigger if an active event has occurred within a location or if setup to trigger if an active event occurred outside the specified location, without having to add the locations into the event config.
Rule – Active event is recorded within a specified location or if it occurred outside the specified location.
Typical Event Description – Harsh cornering within Location or Door opened outside of the Location.
Returned Value - Location Name.
Setting it up
- Select "Event at location", on the third tab, called, Events.
- Now select the specific event you would like to record.
- Choose if you want to record the event when it occurs in the selected location or if it occurs outside of the selected location.
- Now select the relevant locations that must be used to evaluate the rule. Note - The option to select all the locations are not provided as this could cause undesired system performance if not used cautiously.
- Now choose if you want to record the event "Anytime" or "Between selected times", which also includes day of week options. You could want to set up an event to only record on weekdays, between 8 am to 5 pm. In the example below we'll set up that an event be triggered whenever the door opens when an asset is not at the customer location during specific delivery hours.
