- Step 1: Open the Plug Management Utility and sign in utilizing your Fleet Manager username and password.
Note: Your username is your full email address.

Step 2: Insert the fob into the download module and click Read plug info. If the Plug type reads HOS Plug (shown to the left) for a red plug or Driver Plug for a blue plug, continue to Format plug. Note: If it already shows the correct Plug type and Formatted plug under driver name, skip to the step 4. If Plug type reads asset plug for a red or blue key, skip to the section below for more instructions.

Step 3: Select Format plug and wait for the status to indicate Plug formatted. Once complete, select Back.
Note: The Initialize plug checkbox should remain unchecked.
- Step 4: The driver name should now show Formatted plug. Select Generate plug.

Step 5: Select the driver you wish to create the fob for from the dropdown menu and select Generate plug. Once the status bar shows Plug generated, select Back.

Step 6: Plug will now display the appropriate driver for whom you created the plug.
Reformatting an asset plug
- Step 1: Plug the fob into the download module and select Read plug info. If Plug type reads Asset Plug (shown below), continue to step 2. If Plug Type reads HOS Plug (red) or Driver Plug (blue), skip and format as usual.

Step 2: Check the Initialize plug box and use the dropdown menu to select HOS Plug to reformat to a red plug or Driver Plug to reformat to a blue plug. Select Format plug.
Note: Check box only needs to be used to change a plug back from an Asset Plug and should be used with caution.

Step 3: Plug type will now display appropriately and Generate plug can be used as normal for plug generation.
