MiX Telematics Statement of ELD Certification:
The Electronic Logging Device (ELD), when used with the Fleet Manager software, complies with
the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s specifications for acceptance of automatic on-board
recording devices. The U.S DOT/FMCSA rule authorizing the use of automatic on-board recording devices was published in the Federal Register, December 16, 2015 under the caption “Electronic Logging Devices and Hours of Service Supporting Documents; Final Rule” and may be found in 49 CFR Part 385, 386, 390, and 395. The system complies with all rules and changes to this CFR as of December 18, 2017.
MiX Telematics equipment described above is tamper resistant and easily and accurately audited through a roadside inspection or through a driver self-audit procedure. On demand, the driver entry/display unit in use can produce the hours of service summary information needed to review compliance during inspection procedures. When used with the Fleet Manager Driver portfolio and our recommended operating and implementation procedures, your systems are certified by MiX Telematics North America Inc. to meet U.S. DOT/FMCSA requirements.
MiX Telematics hereby certifies that the MiX Hours of Service product was tested and passed all ELD compliance test procedures. The MiX Hours of Service complies with all that is outlined in 49 CFR Parts 385, 386, 390, and 395 by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
