You can select which events you want to view in Live or Historical tracking.
- Click Monitor.
- Under Tracking, click either Live tracking or Historical tracking.
- Click the Events icon in the top right corner.
- Select the events you want to see by checking the box next to the events.
- Click Select.
- Remember that you must choose to show the events on the trial by clicking the map layers icon and checking the Events on trail box in Live tracking.
Active events are shown in Live tracking and passive events are shown in Historical tracking. Read more about active and passive data here.
Events that are configured as active events are displayed on the map in Live Tracking as they are reported into the system. The tracking interval and event information is based on the configuration of the event under the “Active” section for Live tracking. The event information displayed in Historical tracking is based on the configuration of the event under the “Record” section. Read active and passive events to make sure your event has been set up correctly.
Only view assets that triggered events
In Historical tracking, you can view only assets that triggered events in a selected time period.
- Check the box next to Assets with events at the top:
- View the total event count in the Events column as shown above. View more details by expanding the list by clicking the "+" next to the trip and then the sub-trip. You can further expand the event information to see when the asset departed, when it arrived, the duration, distance and max speed of the trip. Expand more (continue clicking the +) to see the start time and end time of an event as well as the event type.
- You can view the events on the map by clicking the dropdown arrow next to the trip.
- Select Show on map.
- The trip will now be displayed on the map.
- You can hover over the event icon to view more information:
Out-of-trip events
Events that were triggered out-of-trip are displayed in their own box in the trip list in Historical tracking. The column headings of the out-of-trip event box are grey instead of blue:
