Permission: You will need the "Organization Goals" permission to access this feature.
Admin users can enable goals for the organization and choose pre-selected events or driver scoring settings that will be displayed on the relevant dashboard widgets/charts. If a goal is not enabled it will not appear on the dashboard screen under Insights.
This feature allows you to set up your dashboard page to see the information that is most valuable to you. You can also set key performance index (KPI) measurement goals for the selected events.
Tip: Reserve your KPI goals for the truly critical items, for instance, the tracking of main event violations instead of the tracking of every individual event that was selected as this will water down the effectiveness of the KPI through visual and mental inflation. If you have too many items, you are less likely to pay attention to the ones that are of high importance.
Note: Changes to previously created KPI goals as well as new KPIs will only reflect on the KPI dashboard the following day after it has been processed. KPIs also only apply to drivers. Set the general KPI settings, under Insight Settings.
- Click Manage.
- Under Operations, click Organization goals.
- Click on the organizational goal block to expand the list and view the specified settings. For event goals, the events that have been selected are pre-selected default system events. In some cases, you can however deselect these and select your own events. Note that a maximum of 25 events can be selected for each goal.
- Manage the events that occur most in my fleet.
- Manage the events that affect my driver scores.
- Manage the events that affect my assets and associated costs.
- Manage the events that affect my risk or safety.
- Mange driver performance goal
- Fleet utilization and driver identification compliance goals
Organization goal - Events that occur most in my fleet
These are the events that are recorded the most in your fleet and may offer you insights into unknown real issues that require attention. You cannot choose your own events as this chart will always automatically display the events with the highest occurrences. By default, diagnostic, hidden and HOS hidden events will be excluded. You cannot set KPI goals for event occurrences.
- You can choose how you want to view the events from the dropdown list:
- Default - will display events as the total number of event occurrences.
- Events per 100 kilometers/miles - event occurrences per 100km or 100m (depending on user setting).
- Events per 1000 kilometers / miles - event occurrences per 1000km or 1000m (depending on user setting).
- Events per 10 000 kilometers / miles - event occurrences per 10000km or 10000m (depending on user setting)
- Distance/events - display event occurrence per distance units, e.g. events that occurred each 1 mile (which is bad) versus events that occurred every 10 miles (which is better), etc. User settings depend on imperial vs metric display settings.
Organization goal - Events that affect my driver scores
By actively managing the events that affect driver performance scores you will increase the safety of your drivers and other road users and also see benefits in terms of vehicle health and costs. These events are selected on the scoring tab.
When a user changes the events on the scoring tab, it will also automatically update and reflect under the category on the organization goals page in order to ensure it remains in sync and the relevant widgets are updated accordingly.
You are thus not able to add or remove events on the organization goals page for this category as these events are managed on the scoring template that is enabled for MyMiX. If nothing has been enabled for MyMiX, the RAG template will be used, which has either default values or custom events if a user amended these.
VERY IMPORTANT: MyMiX users should NOT update their Scoring tab under Operations>Organization settings. The drivers will see the change immediately. This can be changed again, but cannot be reversed as the system will remember what was set historically and will impact the driver scores.
You can choose up to a maximum of four of these events to use as KPIs.
- Select a KPI period, e.g. annually, quarterly, monthly, or weekly.
- Choose the event that you would like to monitor from the dropdown list.
- Choose how you want the event to display.
- Enter a value to compare it to the previous KPI period.
- Click Save.
