We are pleased to inform you that the next release of MiX Fleet Manager has been approved and will soon be rolled-out globally.
1. MiX Insight Reports
- Insight Report Subscription Management has been enhanced, enabling users to add or delete recipients in bulk, assisting administrators to perform this task much faster.
- Henceforth when a contact is deleted, it will automatically be synced and removed from all linked Insight Report subscriptions.
- The HOS Violations report has been amended to always display the site a driver belongs to as well as the custom groups, if selected by the user. Two optional columns were added:
- Time in violation - This is the total time in violation for that particular violation type.
- Violation limit - This is the limit of the violation as defined per type of violation.
- The column name on the summary page of the RAG+ Daily report has been renamed to Driver Daysinstead of Drivers, as the latter was not reflecting the content accurately.
2. International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA)
- This functionality is only applicable to the North American customer base. Due to shortcomings identified in the IFTA solution in terms of false state line crossing events, a new server-side state line crossing event was created and will be used for IFTA reporting going forward. This new event allows for better map control and accuracy where vehicles drive close to borders. The event ID remains the same as with the previous solution and thus do not affect the report in any way but does contribute to accurate crossings as can be seen in the reports.
3. MiX Hours of Service
- A new DTCO driver card renewal feature is now available. The system will automatically detect that a driver has a new driver card and will associate the new HOS data with the correct driver.
- The ODWS split and rest issue has been resolved for US HOS. This applies to the two federal rules, United States 2013 Oilfield 7 Day and 8 Day, to be able to combine two ODWS events the same as the split sleeper berth.
4. MiX Go
- A number of backend changes were made on the synchronisation and integration services. No mobile application release is required for this release.
5. MiX TechTool
All these changes are for both Android and iOS platforms:
- The following changes have been made to Diagnostics to accommodate CAN setups:
- The CAN script name will now be displayed on the C1 line.
- If the speed source is CAN:
- The CAN source / script name will be displayed on the logical speed line.
- The current speed of the asset will be displayed as per the CAN output.
- If the RPM source is CAN:
- The CAN source / script name will be displayed on the logical RPM line.
- The current RPM of the asset will be displayed as per the CAN output.
- If the speed source is GPS velocity:
- The GPS velocity will be displayed on the logical speed line.
- The current speed of the asset will be displayed as per the GPS velocity output.
- Improvements have been made to the selection screens. If a user only has access to one organisation, MiX TechTool will automatically select the organisation. Similarly, if there is only one site in the organisations or if the user only has access to one site, the site will be automatically selected.
- The short asset ID will now be displayed.
- The layout of the IMEI number, the asset name, organisation name and the site name has been improved on the asset summary, install summary and diagnostics pages.
- For the RPM calibration, the maximum pulses per second that a technician can enter for user calibration is now 35000.
6. MiX Mapping
- Points of interest (POI) will be rolled out for HERE maps on the core mapping layer and visible when zoomed in. POI’s will provide users with the ability to identify known POI’s, which aids journey management and communication with drivers. POI’s will be static and not searchable.
- Updates to the reverse geo-coding logic on HERE maps will enable more descriptive address results, where previously some results only entailed suburb level information.
7. MiX SatComms
- Iridium support has been added for the MiX 4000. Please note that this is dependent on a firmware update of V1.10.0.
