- Choose Scoring reports under report category.
The Driver Scorecard Report displays scoring results based on a point system where penalty points are added when pre-set occurrence or duration thresholds have been exceeded on specified events and then calculated per 100 distance (kilometer/miles). The Driver Scorecard report displays scoring results based on the period selected. The report displays the individual event scores which make up the total score of the scorecard as well as the overall total score.
Remember that this report is generated to display data by driver and not by asset as it relates to scoring/driver performance of a driver.
This report uses the new customized scoring method. This method assigns points to an occurrence or duration, calculated per 100 distance (kilometer/mile).
- For each occurrence a specified penalty point will be applied, e.g. for a harsh acceleration occurrence = 1 penalty point. Therefore, 5 harsh acceleration occurrences = 5 points.
- Event score = event penalty points ÷ distance x 100 for the period specified.
- The score is calculated per 100 km/mi.
- Overall score = sum of all event scores.
- The same applies for duration. A penalty point can be assigned for a specified duration, e.g. if a speeding event was 600 seconds you can assign a penalty point for each 60 seconds.
As per above example Duration is 04:50:12. Calculated to seconds it is 17412 seconds = (4X60X60) + (50X60) + 12.
171412 seconds divided by 60 seconds (the violation rule) = 290,2 points. Decimals are excluded and will display as 290 in the report.
-
- Over Speeding Duration (hh:mm:ss) - Over Speeding duration.
- Over Speeding Score - is calculated as follows: points / distance * 100 in this example (290 / 1476,10 X 100) and rounded to the second decimal, e.g. 19,646 will display as 19,65.
- The report queries the scoring domain for the scores based on the selected drivers and date range.
- There is no need to select amber threshold or speed measure as these are saved on the scoring tab under Organization settings.
Please note: No unit types are filtered out from the reports but if the mobile device does not support the scoring information provided in the report, it will not be displayed for that driver.
The report uses the organization's units of measure in the distance and fuel columns because customized scoring is set on organization level and no longer synced with the user's measurement settings.

Additional Settings
- The normal report period date parameters will be available for selection, but it is important to remember that the dates will always be aggregated by month. This means that the report will always roll up the data per driver per month regardless of the selection period. For example, if the user selects the reporting period to be last week and the week includes dates from February and March, the report output will display two rows per driver, one for February and one for March as illustrated below.
- RAG options - Users can select to view drivers without trips, to show the amber drivers, green drivers or red drivers.
- Select whether to highlight/color the individual events.
Columns
Default
- Driver Name
- Driver ID
- Month - this is rolled up based on the data retrieved.
- Site name - site name of the driver
- Distance - (units of measure specific) is the aggregated distance travelled for that month for that specific driver.
- Event penalty points - this is the penalty point value assigned for each occurrence.
- Event occurrences - will be displayed based on what was set up for that organization, e.g. over speeding duration.
- Event score - will be displayed based on what was set up for that organization.
- Event duration - will be displayed based on what was set up for that organization.
- Total scores - the total score is always color-coded.
Optional
- Custom Group - this is the custom group name that the driver belongs to. Drivers can belong to more than one custom group or even to none.
- Max Speed Recorded distance/hour - this indicates the maximum speed recorded for that driver for that month.
- Site Name - a driver can only belong to one site.
Driver scorecard logic
- For each occurrence a specified penalty point will be applied, e.g. for a harsh acceleration occurrence = 1 penalty point. Therefore, 5 harsh acceleration occurrences = 5 points.
- Event score = event penalty points ÷ distance x 100 for the period specified.
- The score is calculated per 100 km/mi.
- Overall score = sum of all event scores.
- Scoring is only applied on in-trip events.
- The same applies for duration. A penalty point can be assigned for a specified duration ie. if a speeding event was 600 seconds I can assign a penalty point for each 100 seconds.
