The trip timeline provides an interactive graphical overview of asset and driver activities during a 24-hour period. Trips and events are displayed graphically on the timeline.
- Click Monitor.
- Under Activity Timeline, click Trip Timeline.
The window has two main areas. The upper section shows trips and events graphically on the timeline while the lower section displays textual information describing those trips and events.
- Viewing information by asset is selected by default. Choose the driver icon to view the timeline for a specific driver.
- Select the specific asset/driver.
- The current date is the default date; you can also choose a specific date by clicking on the calendar.
- Click the last trip icon to display the last trip performed by the asset/driver.
- On the timeline, the graphical depiction of the trips for the 24-hour period is now displayed. The trip is displayed in dark blue and the movement is displayed in light blue. If no driver was identified then a red line will be visible. The grey indicates that tacho data is available.
- Clicking on an item in the timeline or selecting a time period by dragging your mouse displays the details of what took place.

- Choose to view the timeline information for the asset or the driver.
- Select the organization, site, and specific asset or driver.
- Date and time selector.
- Change the view from 24hr period to 12hrs, 6hrs, 3hrs, 1hrs, 30min, 15min, 10min or 5min.
- Choose the events you want to show on the timeline.
- Print the information displayed on the screen.
- View the tachograph for the selected section. Tacho data is available when the Tacho availability row in the graphical window is highlighted in grey.
- Activate the query line; drag the line to any point on the timeline to view detailed information about the point. Click the query line button again to deactivate the line.
- Plot and view the selected trip on the map in Historical Tracking.
- View the selected trip on Google Earth. (Downloads the kml file).
- Access the following additional menu items:

- Timeline settings - choose to load 1, 4, 8, or 14 days of trip data.
- Download GPS data - limited to a maximum of 31 days.
- Download tacho - request a download.
- Timeline report - open the trip timeline in a report to easily download and print.
- Download video - select which camera's video you want to download.

- This is a hidden menu that becomes available when clicking on a specific event and allows you to move the event up or down in the event list.
- Removes the event from the event list.
- Zoom in on the selected trip by using the magnifying glass.
- Click on the arrow to scroll the timeline to the right or left.
- View information on the event occurrences specifically.
- Activate the information bar by clicking on any point - drag the bar to any point on the timeline.
- Drag the arrow up to view detailed trip information in a second pane.
Tips
- Click on a parking or driving time block to select it and display more details as shown in the diagram below.
- Functions such as zoom, remove event, and moving up and down the events will only be visible once the timeline or actual event is selected.
- Use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out of the timeline.
- If there are several small trips close together, click to one side of them and drag past them before releasing the mouse button. This will select the entire period and show you the details of all the trips.
- To take a closer look at the trip, click on the query line button (point 8 above) to view details such as driver, start and end duration and distance of the trip and event and occurrences and values for the event.
