- Click Monitor.
- Under Tracking, click Manage locations.
- Click on Add locations, .
- Click on the radio button for the latitude/longitude coordinates.
- Enter the coordinates.
- Click Go.
The position will now be displayed on the map.
Now that the address has been identified, the location can be created. The exact address will be indicated by a red pin dropped on the map. You can use the zoom feature to zoom in or out, depending on the size of the desired location.
Create the Location
- On the map click on the required shape.
- Use the polygon shape whenever the area is an irregular shape. Click the first position when using the polygon to complete the shape.
- The polyline shape is used for roads and bridges, but note it is not possible to receive an alert when an asset enters or exists this type of location.
- Draw the shape around the address. You can change the shape by dragging on the white anchor points of the shape itself.
- Complete the details in the locations pane:
- Location name - enter a name that will serve as a description for your location.
- Location type - In the drop-down select the location type - i.e. customer, no-go zone, site, street polyline, fuel stop, rest stop, speed zone, charging station (EV), or other.
- Site - select the site associated with this specific location.
- Location color - select a color that you would like your location to display on the map.
- Opacity - specify the opacity of the location by dragging the slider.
- You can check the box if you would like to be notified when an asset enters this location.
- Location Details - click on the Location details text to enter details for a contact at the site, this includes a contact name, contact numbers, an email address and a physical address.
- Click Save.
