Driver HOS log management features required under the ELD mandate are available to an administrator through the Log Viewer screen.
There is an associated audit report which can be used to determine who has edited a driver’s log, when and what was changed.
- Click Monitor.
- Under Hours of Service, click Log Viewer.
- You can toggle between viewing an asset or driver. The asset view shows the unidentified driving activity for the vehicle.
- Toggle view between Confirmed view and Pending Edits view. The confirmed edits are edits accepted by the driver and NOT daily log certifications. When the icon is green, the view is showing pending edits. A bubble counter shows the number of pending edits.
- The background color indicates whether the log for that day has been certified or uncertified:
- Gray shading on log graph background indicates a day where the driver has not certified logs.
- White log graph background indicates a day where driver has certified logs.
- Shows required ELD information e.g. duty status, log in/out events, vehicle events, data diagnostic and malfunction events
- Allows for editing of driver duty status including annotations:
- Edit duty status.
- Add duty status before or after the current duty status. Note: HOS duty status change events are points-in-time and not time ranges. When editing a log to add duty status change events, the administrative user is adding new events at specific points in time, before or after existing events.
- Restrictions apply, i.e. you cannot reduce driving time so the time stamps for driving periods are fixed in the editing screen.
- When in Off Duty, the “add PC mode” option becomes available.
- In On Duty Not Driving, the “add Yard Move” option becomes available.

- Please note that admin users cannot edit a driver's logs which has not certified by the driver yet.

- To view the pending edits in the log viewer, toggle the pending edit button and make sure it is displayed in green. View the details in the Driver log tab.
