To program keys you will need access to the following:
- The USB download pod and module. Read this article if you need to install the Download module.
- MiX Plug Management Utility software installed. Read more here if you need to install the MiX PMU.
- MiX Fleet Manager application.
Once all of these are installed and working, you will be able to program driver keys by opening the Plug Management Utility icon on your desktop and logging in.
Please note that the MiX Plug Management Utility cannot be running at the same time as the MiX Timeclock Plug Interface Agent.
To exit the program, go to your system tray in the bottom right hand side of your screen and right click the icon and choose Exit.
If you use the Hours of Service Timeclock, you will still need to have the MiX Timeclock Plug Interface Agent to run the Timeclock. If you do not use the Hours of Service Timeclock, you can uninstall the MiX Timeclock Plug Interface Agent.
Step 1 - Format plug to remove any previous driver data
If the plug is blank, it will read “Formatted plug.” If the plug is not blank, it will show a driver name. Please click “Format plug” to remove previous driver data.
Step 2 - Click on Generate Plug to program key
Step 3 - Select your driver and click on generate plug
When completed it will show status as "Plug generated".
