- Click Monitor.
- Under Hours of Service, click HOS notifications.
- Click on the Add HOS notification icon,
. - Enter a descriptive name.
- Click Next.
- Choose if you want to include groups of drivers or individual drivers.
- Use the '+' to expand the organisational hierarchy and click on the relevant groups or check the box next to the specific driver names if you chose individuals. If you want to deselect the groups, click on the group name again.
- Click Next.
- Under the violations tab, you can now select the specific violations by checking the box next to the violation name.
- Enter the time delay (in minutes) after which the notifications will be sent. If you enter to be notified if a driver has exceeded the daily driving by 30 minutes, you will be notified 1 second after the 30 minute threshold has been exceeded.
The HOS violation will record immediately. The time delay after which the notifications will be sent is based on the threshold specified for each escalation level. The escalation period specified at each level will be from the start time of the violation. - Add another escalation by clicking the Add new escalation button. The second threshold must be a bigger value than the previous threshold as this will be calculated again from the start of the violation. You can add up to three escalations.
- Click Next.
- You can now specify recipients for the various escalations that you have set up by clicking the select recipients button or adding a new contact by clicking on the text "If the recipient does not exist - click here to add." For email notifications, add recipients in the Email notifications box, for mobile text notifications, add recipients in the SMS notifications box.
- Click Save.
