Please note that you can currently only create new user accounts and cannot edit or remove accounts.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the menu on the left where you will see your user icon or username.
- Hover over the user icon.
- Click Unity user management - this will only be available if you are a Unity admin user.
- To streamline performance, the results on this page will not be pre-loaded. You have to search a username or status to see the relevant results.
- TIP: When searching, you'll need to type the beginning of the word or phrase you're looking for. The search won't find results if you only enter part of the text from the middle of a word/phrase.
- Click the search icon to show all results.
To create a new Unity account and link existing legacy accounts, you have to create the legacy user accounts in the relevant solutions first. Make sure the user you want to create in Unity has the existing legacy account access.
- Click Add user.
- Now search for the existing user account in one of the existing solution, e.g. MiX Fleet Manager. Type the user's name or email or the beginning of the text up to a minimum of three characters, select the current solution, which is any of the integrated systems, select the environment they currently have access to and the organization. You can select any to search all organizations when you are looking for a user in MiX Fleet Manager and especially if you are looking for a root user. For Vision Pro you need to specify the organization (or VP site) that the user currently has access to.
- Click Search.
Search results are limited to 100 records. Please refine the search to be more specific if you cannot find the required user. Vision pro users with Software System Access (no access) will not appear in the search results as they do not have access to the web applications.
- Click the link icon next to the relevant user as shown above.
- Enter the user's details or make sure the information is up to date.
- YOU CANNOT CHANGE THE EMAIL ADDRESS ONCE YOU CLICK THE CREATE UNITY USER BUTTON. MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE ENTERED THE CORRECT EMAIL ADDRESS AS THIS WILL SERVE AS A UNIQUE IDENTIFIED FOR THE USER.
- Click Create Unity user.
- You will receive a confirmation message that the account has been created.
The user will not receive any notification yet, as you still need to complete the unity profile by linking the legacy accounts.
- After the Unity user account has been created, you can start linking the account to the other integrated legacy solutions.
- Click Link more accounts.
- Search for the user account in the system you want to provide access to via Unity.
You can only have one account per environment per user.
- Click the link button next to the relevant user.
- You will now see a list of all the linked solutions for this user.
- Click Send email to finalize the account creation and send the user the invitation.
The user will receive a welcome email that they must click on to set a password for their new Unity account. The welcome email link will expire in 7 days.
The user account status will change to "Active" once the user has successfully created a password and signed into the system.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FUNCTIONALITY TO EDIT, DELETE OR UNLINK UNITY USER ACCOUNTS ARE STILL IN DEVELOPMENT.
