MiX Fleet Manager
-
New functionality to onboard AEMP assets has been added and is currently only available to FSM customers. The onboarding page will enable users to add and edit equipment providers, commission and decommission assets, and synchronize provider data to ensure we have the latest equipment data in the system.
Please note that the commissioning and decommissioning of AEMP assets will only be actioned via the new onboarding page. Users will not be able to manually commission assets to the AEMP configuration group outside of the new onboarding page and therefore users will not be allowed to drop assets into an AEMP configuration group, nor will the AEMP config group be available for selection when adding an asset. In addition, users will not be able to manually create an AEMP configuration group.
Multifactor Authentication (MFA)
- MiX Fleet manager users can now make use of Multifactor Authentication (MFA) to access their accounts.
By default, this will be disabled for all users. MFA can enabled per user on the user's detail page or by selecting multiple users in User Admin. Once enabled, users will be required to enter an MFA code after entering a valid username and password.
Users will be guided on how to set up MFA, the first time they sign in after being enabled for MFA.

- MiX mobile users can now make use of Multifactor authentication (MFA) to log into the MiX Fleet Manager mobile app. This can be enabled in User Admin in MiX Fleet Manager. Once enabled, mobile app users will be required to enter an MFA code after entering a valid username and password. The first time the user signs into the app, they will be guided on how to set up multifactor authentication.
VERY IMPORTANT: MFA is only supported on this version of the app and future releases. If an organization wants to make use of MFA they need to ensure MiX fleet manager mobile users update to the version going out with the release of 23.17. Mobile users will not be able to log in to their mobile apps if they have been enabled for MFA but are still making use of a previous version of the app.
MiX Insight Dashboards
- An asset or driver icon has been placed on all dashboard charts as a quick and easy indication if the chart is shown by driver or by asset data.
- A new chart has been added to the fleet utilization default page which enables a user to view fleet Movement by hour of the day and further overlay any important events to enable easy risk analysis.
- A new default page has been added for Driver identification compliance and includes two new charts where one chart displays Driver adherence % and the other Distance or number of trips for identified, unidentified, and automatically created drivers. This data is also now available in the external API and a new page with visualizations was added to the PowerBI template file as found in MiX Fleet Manager.
- Some usability enhancements (tooltips) and new functionality, i.e. choosing between viewing data for active drivers/assets or the total assets/drivers were added to the Distance/Engine Hours and trip insights.
Global Hours of Service
- A new "Active driver preference" checkbox has been included in the HOS settings tab of the database administration page. This checkbox will allow customers the flexibility of making use of the legacy active driver implementation if preferred while also maintaining ELD compliance in Canada. When checked, the driver will be removed as the active driver when they change their duty status to Off duty or Sleeper. This only applies to US users as Canadian ELD legislation requires that a driver remains the active driver even when they are Off duty or in a Sleeper Berth.
Please note: this will be available in the UI but the functionality will only work once the new Rovi IV firmware is released.
ELD / Auto commissioning
- ELD-enabled assets with a MiX 4000 mobile device running firmware version 4.14.8 (and greater) will now report the vehicle VIN to MiX Fleet Manager during every trip. If no VIN has been assigned to the asset, the VIN will be written to the VIN field on the asset and the field will be locked. When the asset is decommissioned the VIN field will be cleared.
MiX Vision AI
- A POC that will ultimately allow customers to enable blurring on incoming videos for added privacy will be included in this release. The long-term goal is to allow customers to activate facial and number plate blurring for their organization. However, this release will only allow facial blurring. This means all facial images of drivers, passengers, and pedestrians on all incoming videos will be blurred. In this first release, blurring will automatically be enabled for a single customer only.
MiX Asset Tracker (DME)
- When making a Digital Matter mobile device type available for a new organization on MiX Fleet Manager, there will no longer be any dependency on other devices to have been made available beforehand.
CalAmp devices (North America only)
- Support has been added for the fault code messages (also known as diagnostic trouble codes) from CalAmp devices.
- These will be displayed in the Faults column on the Assets page. If the asset has an active fault, a color-coded icon will be displayed in the column. The icon can be clicked to show more information about the fault, like the first time it was detected, the symptom, and action that can be taken.
Read View active fault codes or DTC for more information.
- Historical fault information can also be seen on the map in Historical tracking. If there were any active faults for the asset during the specified trip date range, they will be shown with an icon on the map in Historical tracking. The fault code is shown in a circle and the icon color is based on the severity of the fault - critical=red, high=orange, medium=gray low=green, info= blue. (If there were more than one fault on the asset, the color of the icon will indicate the most severe fault.)
Read View historical fault codes to learn more.
